Making a Composite Part from a Foam Plug-part 3

If you haven’t jumped ahead already, here is the third installment of making a part from a foam plug from Easy Composites. They make note of their pre assembled pre preg kits, which would make getting into pre pregs nice and easy, but an oven is still necessary. Personally I don’t have a ton of experience with pre pregs, but a part like in the video would be really difficult to make without pre pregs. Certain parts can be done with vacuum bagging, infusions, or pre pregs, and then there are others where only one method may make sense. They also note some nice little techniques to help the lay up process. I still think its kinda crazy how this part is vacuum bagged even tho its a cavity, but it goes to show the broad spectrum of shapes possible. Enjoy!
